ORANGE

PRIDE

The feeling when you know who you are, you are proud of who you are. It is the sense of accomplishment, of owning who you are, of not shying away, yelling “THIS IS WHO I AM” on the top of your lungs.

It is taking people by the hand and shaking them enthusiastically before dragging them onto the dance floor, dancing to top ranking songs and belting the notes out without a care. It is walking with your head raised high and unafraid, or a warm smile on your face when you can see the confidence, the happiness, and the blissfulness when someone else does the same.

But it is also mixed feelings, it is insecurity. It is the flashing color of a maddening situation - a veritable impasse that frustrates one to no end. It is the anxiety that the world will shut you out because you’ve embraced who you are, but orange - as a color in and of itself - is not to be underestimated.

It is the romantic hue of the sky when you lock your hands with another. It is the warm dancing light of a flame burning in your soul when you realize you wouldn’t want to change and that nothing can change you. As the flame grows, so does the sense of pride and belonging.

Orange is owning who you are or sharing the joys of being whom you have decided to be or showing off your partner because they’re shining like the neon lights in the dead of night.

Orange is proudly raising a flag of seven colors - the colors of the rainbow never used to mean so much, but now it is a symbol of hope, of pride and of love.

And love, regardless of anything, is love
